The summer months are fast approaching, and with that, comes one of my other favorite seasons: Festival Season.
Summer is full of opportunities to spend the day with your friends listening to your favorite music.
At the end of the semester at my school, there’s a big music festival out on the football field, so to get ready for that I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite festival trends for this year with you guys in a 3-part series.
This week, I’m sharing some of my favorite hair trends, next week I’ll be posting some of the hottest makeup trends, and the final week will be all about what I do best– Fashion.
Here are some of the hair trends you’re bound to see at every music festival you and your besities go to this summer:
1) Space Buns
This is something I’ve been seeing all over Instagram for a while now, and I think it’s awesome! It’s such a fun look, and you can add color and/or sparkle to it to make it your own.
Executing this was relatively easy– All I did was put my friend Kalie’s hair up into a couple of buns and secured them with bobby pins.
2) Hair Stencils
This is a trend that was everywhere last year during festival season. I love how fun this look is, and that you can do whatever you want with it. If you love expressing yourself through your hair, makeup, and fashion choices, this is definitely a look you should try this summer for your favorite bands concert. This look is one that is pretty easy to create– All you need is colored hair spray in your favorite color, and a stencil of whatever design you’d like to rock in your hair. Place the stencil on your hair, spray the hair spray over it, and you’re left with a colorful and fabulous hairstyle perfect for summer!
3) Glitter roots
Glitter fans, this one is for you! This is another trend that started taking over the summer music festival scene last year. It’s a super-fun and bold look, and honestly, who doesn’t love glitter? This one is a little trickier to create, as you’ll likely end up getting glitter everywhere (which is okay, because glitter is one of my makeup trends for next week!). If you’re like me and don’t have a lot of spare money to spend on beauty products (or anything, really), try making your own stencils out of heavy paper or cardboard
I hope you love these festival hair trends as much as I do! If you try any of them, tag me @koolcurlie1 and @beautychaos16 on Twitter and Instagram– I’d love to see your own unique style and how you express yourself!
